    1. This is actually a good way of looking into the source of innovation. But then again, it all goes down to how one makes the most out of dissatisfaction. I’ve met a lot of people who stopped innovating or reinventing simply because, well, they’re pissed off. If dissatisfaction breeds motivation, then inspiration, then innovation will not be far behind.

There are plenty of “pissed off people” in the “occupy” movements but they don’t seem inclined to take the least bit of initiative to innovate anything useful to society … much less to the marketplace.

Isn’t it time to stop pandering to malcontents and instead reward those who do?

That would include supporting and acknowledging the efforts of those still stuggling but who are at least making an honest effort to contribute to society.

It is a travesty to ignore them and instead fawn over complainers and whiners demanding to live off the avails of other people’s efforts … and who regard befouling public spaces in the process as their “right.”

    6. Tom Foale says:

He’s stolen the idea from George Bernard Shaw (Man and Superman): “The reasonable man adapts himself to the world; the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself. Therefore all progress depends on the unreasonable man.”
